Fab news!

For all you fans of hAnglar & stAnglar stamps - you'll soon be able to buy them in the UK as Karen from Funky Kits & Sugar Nellie is going to be producing and selling hAnglar & stAnglar stamps!!! Not sure when they'll be available but keep your eyes peeled :)

*big grin*

I made something! It's taken me long enough I know but who cares! I bought three of the new stamps designed by Elisabeth Bell at Funky Kits when they came out and finally got round to using one! Of course, it had to be the Kitty stamp which I think is adorable! Kitty stamp, gorgeous K & Co McKenna papers, a bit of background paper from Basic Grey 'Sugared', antique cream grosgrain ribbon, SU! ticket corner punch and the 'here kitty kitty' stamp is also SU! I can't remember what the set is called but I believe it's retired now - I bought it and another cat set from a fantastic seller on eBay. Now, this may surprise you but this is for my friend Kitty's birthday! Lol!

Another 25th today so lots of photos taken for Shimelle's Scrap Your Day project - pretty much the same as last month for me although I got some great photos of the sunset this month. Last month was hideous weather so it's nice to see the sunshine!

Still here!

I've been working away on a circle journal entry and really struggling. My mojo and my enthusiasm seem to have left the country without me - apart from the cj I haven't made anything for days, not even a birthday card for my sister which has to be posted tomorrow!

These are the last 2 cards I made - this one is Lola with bunny from Sugar Nellie colored in with my Prismas, fabulous K&Co McKenna papers, a piece of paper ribbon from a Scrapagogo kit, flowers and brad from my stash & the Happy Birthday stamp is from Stamps Away!

Lola

This one was an experiment and kind of followed a tutorial on SplitcoastStampers - not sure if I like it but never mind! Bazzill cardstock, Making Memories Noteworthy paper and the stamp is from my SU! Doodle That set.

Luscious blog candy

I don't often do this but the candy on offer is so adorable and the writer of the blog is uber talented! If you go here and check out Heidi's blog you can win loads of hAnglar and stAnglar images & a stamp! You need to read this post to find out what you need to do!

Organised!

The new challenge went up over on the Tilda & Friends ATC blog - the new theme is 'Green' and I've not only done one ATC, I've done two!!! And on the day the challenge went up! A definite first for me :)

They're both using stamps from the Magnolia Spring stamp club and coloured in with Prismas - anyway here's my rather loose interpretation of green! This first ATC inspired the second one - I love the wee watering can!

Finished!

Yay, I finished my Dad's birthday card - just as well really as his birthday is on Thursday and I need to get it in the post tomorrow! I made another criss cross card - will add a pic in the morning but off to bed now :)

Here we go, as promised! I made the criss cross card a different size - decided to try a 6x6 square this time! The papers are from the Masculine set by Dovecraft and that's all I used, very basic! Oh, there's some stamping on the insert using some stamps from StampAttack (think that's that the right name!)

Still haven't!

You read correctly, I've still not made Dad's card! I've been pootling about all day doing bits & pieces including ordering another pair of these! I already have a black pair so wanted something a bit colorful - they may be ugly but with my poor arthritic feet they are incredibly comfortable! I also got round to ordering my scoring board - been meaning to order it for a month now - fingers crossed it'll be here in 10 - 14 days.

I had a go at making some of these tonight for a swap that might be going ahead through this place. I have to say I love the end result - they're so cute! A string of them altogther will look great and I even have the perfect spot on my craft room wall to put a long canvas with them on :) Off back to my book now!

The answer is no!

I still haven't made my Dad's birthday card yet! I do have a couple of ideas but that's it. It was far too hot again today to contemplate doing a lot, I pretty much sat and read most of the day, made dinner (mackerel with watercress & spinach salad, delicious!) and pootled about in my craft room for a couple of hours before Doctor Who started :) I had another completed circle journal come home today - really chuffed as it looks gorgeous but also a bit miffed as there's a recipe using something tha I clearly stated in my rules that I'm allergic to & therefore didn't want any recipes with it in :(

I actually inked up one of my hAnglar & stAnglar stamps this afternoon and made a card - I shall be using the other 2 tomorrow as I've got loads of images to stamp for people! I thought this stamp looks really summery and perfect to use on a hot day! I think this is hÄngla med tråd but don't quote me on that, Basic Grey 'Cupcake' papers, SU! ticket corner punch (yay Tonya! I used it, thank you hun!), flower from this month's bloom kit fresh through the door this morning and a random brad from my box of thousands of the things!

Oooof!

It's been so warm here today - really grey and overcast but warm. And the best place to spend a few hours? Definitely not the hospital! Still, it means that I have an appointment free month for a change :) I didn't sleep well last night - thought I'd trapped a nerve in my arm again but touch wood it seems okay just now.

I love this hAnglar & stAnglar image - just wish I had the stamp :) It looks a bit out of kilter in the photo but it isn't really! Image colored in with Prismacolors, Basic Grey 'Sugared' patterned papers, random piece of ribbon and a Doodlebug heart shaped button. I really must get on with making my Dad's birthday card tomorrow - should really have done it today but nver mind!

Catching up again!

I seem to be perpetually behind when it comes to the challenges over on the Tilda ATC challenge blog - without realising I'm now 4 weeks behind! I really need to get a card made for my Dad as it's his birthday next week and he's off to France with Mum for a couple of weeks - instead of getting on with it I managed to get a couple of the challenges done. The first ATC was for the 'Going Dotty' theme - totally uninspired for this one, I was going to use my Swiss Dots cuttlebug embossing folder but completely forgot! I used some dotty/spotty paper from a previous Gogo kit and one of the new Tilda's from the Spring Stamp club.

Dotty

The second one is for this weeks challenge, Bugs! I didn't have a clue what to do for this one - I was going to use the ladybug stamps I have from Cuddly Buddly but then I remembered I have the Magnolia butterflies. I stamped the grass - another Cuddly Buddly stamp - along the bottom, then used the 2 cloud stamps from the Spring Stamp club & coloured then in with Siam White Twinkling H2o, coloured the sky with a Prisma 'sky blue light' pencil, stamped the butterflies and added 'bug' using my ATB tape writer.
